About Jonah Easley

Jonah Easley was born and raised in Texas and trusted Jesus as his Savior as a child. The road since then has not been perfect, but God set his sights on Jesus and that’s where his eyes remain fixed. During these last 17 years in ministry, it’s been evident that God has given him certain gifts and called him to use them. God gave him a desire and gift to declare His Word, lead, and desire to care for people. Ultimately, He’s given him a vision to see the people of God discipled—to grow in loving, knowing, and obeying Jesus.

Jonah graduated from Liberty University in 2006 with a degree in Biblical Studies and from Luther Rice Seminary with a degree in Leadership in 2017.  He was ordained into the ministry in 2005 and has served in ministry since 2000.  He and his wife, Kathy, have three children, Evan, Adele, and Elijah. A unique chapter in their story involves serving four years in China where they owned and operated a coffee shop as a front for underground ministry.  His hobbies include golf, hunting, exercise, road cycling, and most of all…spending time with his family.

Whatever your vocation in life, as followers of Christ, we are all called to ministry.  Jonah has been called to equip followers of Christ no matter what their ministry entails.  Jonah has a passion for training up leaders to maximize their impact for Christ.  We pray that the posts in this blog will be challenging and thought provoking for the leadership role you are in.

Jonah is the pastor of Awakening Church in Bellevue, WA.
