The Seattle area is one of the most expensive places to live in the United States. In order to reach people and plant a church requires a great deal of financial resources. We have a very significant financial hill to climb in order to launch Awakening Church. Over time, we prayerfully anticipate becoming self-funded and sending resources to help others, much like we will be helped in the early years.

Why We Give

As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources and that He is the owner of all things. In scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving at least one-tenth of all God has so generously given to us. The Bible says, 

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” – Malachi 3:10

We also believe that God desires of us to be generous. The Bible says,

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6

Online Giving

Giving online is simple and easy. It is a great way to give tithes and offerings from the privacy of your own home. All contributions to Awakening Church are tax deductible as we maintain a board governed non-profit 501(c)(3).

While we have the ability to process credit cards, receiving checks removes the middle man fees.  Checks can be made out to.
